Crowne Plaza's Alloro: Italian flavor to the Indian palate!

Saturday afternoon be like "authentic interpretations of Italian classics!" 

We were pleasantly surprised that "Alloro", offers a lavish Italian menu spread, as we were looking forward to the moment! to satiate the taste buds and Saturday lunch turned out to be a very pleasing experience. 


Chef Thomas introduced his staff Chef Kumar, who ensured that our "Italian" experience was taken to an all new level. 


As we entered I was engrossed with their excellent wine cellar & their PDR {Private Dining Room}. We were just looking forward to their antipasti, cheese, pastas and pizzas from their wood fired oven ! 




Chef Kumar churned out some " Chef recommended delicacies", as we sat to a laid back experience.I suddenly felt transported away from the Bangalore, for a moment!



Antipasti / Appetisers


Panzanella : Classic salad with bread, peppers, cucumber and cherry tomatoes

Brodo di pollo : Chicken dumpling soup with cherry tomatoes

Minestrone di verdure alla genovese : Vegetable soup served with a touch of pesto “Genova” style

Primi Piatti / Pasta, Risotti, Gnocchi:


Rotolo di pollo : 

“Chef Special” pasta pinwheel with minced chicken, butter sauce and fennel foam



Pici alla rrabbiata:

 Hand rolled pici pasta with spicy tomato sauce, flavored with oregano and fresh basil


I asked for Australian wine! & there comes a recommendation ..... 


Yellow Tail brand Shiraz has notes of blackberries, coffee, currants and chocolate.


Pizze Firmate / Alloro Signature Pizze:


Pollo grigliato con pomodoro e funghi : 
Grilled chicken, tomato, mushroom and kalamata

Quattro formaggi : 
Cream sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan and goat cheese



Desserts :

Cioccolatissimo : 

Chocolate soufflé with vanilla cream

Tiramisú : 

Traditional mascarpone cheese mousse with savoiardi biscuits and espresso coffee



Staycations are all about relaxation, before getting back to reality with household chores and work!
