Spicy Corn Fritters which were an absolute delicious slightly sweet appetizer made from kernels of corn held together by a sticky caramel type sauce. Given that my preference is usually vegetarian food, the menu at Tangerine with its appetizers was a delight to our senses.....!!! light brown and crispy on both sides, flattened a little, with a few Lettuce sticking out as rocket leaves

Potato Skin Wedges, an authentic potato experience. These tasty, skin-on, made-from-whole potatoes deliver enhanced flavour and extra fibre!!! What I realized is that the potatoes remained crisp, hot, and consistent throughout the entire meal.Let me take a moment  of the the hour .....Potatoes are not just good for you, their high levels of beta carotene are responsible for healthy skin, a healthy digestive system and strong lungs. They are also really high in Vitamin C  which is both an antioxidant and essential for a healthy immune system....Get going!!!
Jamaican Jerk ChickenWhisked together lime juice and olive oil, seems that the chicken was well done with with lime  & oil mix & not marinated. We also noticed that the chicken was coated with dry seasoning/spice mixture, to get as much as possible to stick to the chicken. We store our seasoning in a leftover spice container with large sprinkle holes and use that to season. This is not a rub, so it should not be applied in rub fashion. The dish was well prepared grilled, the black, supposed to be there. In fact, 30-40% of the skin showed up black
Vegetable Shashlik, is the dish I particularly liked!!! This was my kind of choice of vegetable, that were cut in to big dices and marinated with masalas and arrange on to the skewers and grilled served on bed of rice. Shashlik literally means skewing marinated pieces of meat (lamb/pork/beef) or alternating the meat with veggies or any other choices and grilling/roasting them over charcoal, wood or a barbecue.
Luscious cubes of Cottage Cheese (Paneer) ,fresh mushrooms , delightful chunks of pineapple play in a heady medley of peppy marinade. They are then threaded to skewers and grilled till smoky & Charred, loved it!

Death by Chocolate! Devil’s Food Cake with chocolate Shards!!! ‘Death by Chocolate’ case occurred in the 17th Century in Mexico & it's a true incident . Upper class Spaniards were so addicted to chocolate that they refused to adhere to a church dictating a chocolate ban that forbade them from eating or drinking any food during the church services. As a result, the people of the town refused to listen to the ban and instead chose to attend worship services in convents. The Bishop who passed the law was later found dead due to poison being mixed into his daily cup of chocolate, (serves him right I say). Also, I have found out the word ‘chocolate’ comes from the Aztec word, ‘Xocolatl’, which ironically means ‘bitter water’(Courtesy)
